RM6000 and YEAR 2000 COMPLIANCE

This statement has been designated a Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure in accordance with the US Year 2000 Information and Readiness Disclosure Act.

The British Standards Institute technical committee BDD1/-/3 have created a 'Definition of Year 2000 Conformity Requirements' DISC PD2000-1.

The DISC PD2000-1 definition states:

Year 2000 conformity shall mean that neither performance nor functionality is affected by dates prior to, and after the year 2000.

In particular:

1 No value for current date will cause interruption in operation.

2 Date based functionality must behave consistently for dates prior to, during and after year 2000.

3 In all interfaces and data storage, the century in any date must be specified either explicitly or by unambiguous algorithms or inferring rules.

4 Year 2000 must be recognised as a leap year.

Sandmar have extensively tested RM6000 Version 2 and confirm that it complies with the 'Definition of Year 2000 Conformity Requirements' DISC PD2000-1.

However, Sandmar is not responsible for any changes to its software which are required as a result of modifications made by third party hardware or software.
