RM6000
and YEAR 2000 COMPLIANCE
This statement
has been designated a Year 2000 Readiness Disclosure in accordance
with the US Year 2000 Information and Readiness Disclosure Act.
The British
Standards Institute technical committee BDD1/-/3 have created a
'Definition of Year 2000 Conformity Requirements' DISC PD2000-1.
The DISC PD2000-1
definition states:
Year 2000 conformity
shall mean that neither performance nor functionality is affected
by dates prior to, and after the year 2000.
In particular:
1 No value for
current date will cause interruption in operation.
2 Date based
functionality must behave consistently for dates prior to, during
and after year 2000.
3 In all interfaces
and data storage, the century in any date must be specified either
explicitly or by unambiguous algorithms or inferring rules.
4 Year 2000
must be recognised as a leap year.
Sandmar
have extensively tested RM6000 Version 2 and confirm that it complies
with the 'Definition of Year 2000 Conformity Requirements' DISC
PD2000-1.
However, Sandmar
is not responsible for any changes to its software which are required
as a result of modifications made by third party hardware or software.
