As the Eastern European marketplace opens its doors to the West, many international retailers are taking advantage of the new opportunities that are being presented to them and expanding their organisations. One of the many decisions which needs to be addressed in the expansion into a new market, is which software package to choose for obtaining business information.

Since 1995 some 50 installations have chosen to implement the Sandmar solution for their Russian outlets. With the ability to offer a Russian language variant of RM6000, as well as handling the complex requirements of Russian legislation, Sandmar was an obvious choice. Each retailer must have the ability to buy goods in one currency and sell in another, whilst the ever changing exchange rate also has to be accommodated and reflected in any price changes. To meet the individual needs of our customers, full training can be provided in either Russian, or English. Also, by establishing a local support centre in Moscow we are always available to offer help and assistance.

RM6000 shipments vary from a cash & carry warehouse selling in excess of 150,000 product lines, through to a chain of Italian fashion shops carrying a range of exclusive designs. Also, in conjunction with one of our partners, ICL, we have installed systems across a large department store group and a supermarket chain importing a wide assortment of produce from many countries. Systems have been installed in all the major shopping centres in Moscow, such as the Arbart, Petrovsky Passage and the famous nineteenth century department store GUM which is located in Red Square. In Magnitogorsk the largest retail chain CLASS!, operate RM6000 across of the cities department stores and supermarkets.
